NEW YORK (AP)-Police Tues- day recovered three of III! ml!!- im: priceless silver figurines stolen from the Brooklyn Museum Satur- day. They described the theft as the deviltry of two teenage cousins.

Detectives said the boys. both 14-year-old high school students. didn't realize the enormity of what they had done until they read about it in the newspapers.

Frightened, they scattered the eight tiny pieces of sculpture around the neighborhood of the Red Hook housing project where they live.

Later. one of the cousins went out and recovered two of the art pieces. These were turned over to police. as was a third one. found by a woman in a nearby gutter.
