For "The Tip Oil," their latest ollcring playing now at the Prince Edward Theatre is really a. knock- outl ‘ Its a family picture, this one. There are plenty of good, clean laughs, lots of love interest and more swift action than you can shake a stick st. As the young radio man who becomes the buddy of a ﬁghter (Robert Armstrong), Quillim is at his best and the perlormance of Armstrong is as smooth as usual.

Everything is serene in Quiilans life until he falls in love with the sweetheart of an East Side hood- lum. In fairness to the girl, the rufflan‘s love is not reciprocated. The Union Commercial College‘ closed for Christmas holidays on Monday evening. Principal 'Moran

The class as a whole did excel- lent work and were to be con- gratulated. Excellent order and strict punctuality were evident all term, without which, the Principal remarked 1t was impossible to get results.

The penmanshlp classes were successful in winning 22 certificates from America's leading penman- ship institute, the Zanerlan. Among those were five advance certifi- cates. ‘rhis is the largest number ever received at one time.

The spelling classes did excellent work as shown by the percentages given. These tests are held every Friday. The importance of business letter writing and penmanshlp was referred to after the presentation of diplomas, certificates and prizes. ' An address was read to Principal Moran and Vice-Principal -Mrs. McLellan. This was accompanied by very appropriate gifts.
