The news of the Abegweit victory 8t Moncton over the Hawks last night was received in Charlotte- town with great acclaim. Doug Hick- eson’s battling c1111 of red and black clad pucksters had come through With B. most decisive win over the fighting Hawks by a score of 4 to 1. A win was expected by many, but not, so decisive. That. first period rally, when Abegivclis rushed three pucks past the highly touted Foster, must have been an eye-opener for the rabid New Brunswick fans. And then again when Abbles held the Hawks scoreless in the second per- iod to maintain the big margin, things must have looked blue for the home town ians~and even more so, when the Island team skated from the ice with the chucker tuck~ ed away.
