Land For Oil Storage Granted At Geo'town
GEORGETOWN George- town Town Council Monday night passed a motion to grant a five-year lease to the Irving Oil Company Ltd. of a town commons lot containing four acres of land and situated just south of the Anglican Church on Kent Street.
The land will be used by the oil company as a bulk storage site, according to Irving repre- sentatives Ivan J. Doherty and local agent Roy Hemphlll. Six storage tanks, each of 3,000 gallons capacity, will be in- on the site resting on steel stands.
