Green, un ted in marriage Marion Lois Bel. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bell. Stanley Bridge. and Lloyd Nicholson Derrach, son of Mrs, Annie and the late Daniel Darracih. Charlottetown. To the strains of the Wedding March, played by Miss Shirley Darrach, the bride entered the church or. the Imrn of hea- father who gave her in marriage. She looked charming in e floor length gown of white satin with fitted bodice trimmed with lace. round neck and long pointed sleeves. The full lengih veil was kept in place with a halo of orange blosoms and she carried a bouquet of Better Time roses. Her only ornament was a string of pearls her gift from the groom. She was at- tended by Miss Joy MacLeod who wore a floor length gown of pale blue taffeta with a shoulder length veil and matching Juliett cap and carried a.bouquet of pink cama- tions, The groom was supported by lbskine Smith and the ushers were Clifford MacDougall and GlenCot- ton. During the signing of the reg- ister Miss Beverley Smith sang ac- ceptably "I'll Walk Beside You.‘ ‘it the conclusion of the ceremony. the couple were presented with a while Bible, symbolic of the first wedding ever held in that church. A rec- eption was held at the home of the bride's parents. the bride's mother being smartly gowned in black sheer with black and white accessories and a corsage of white carnations and the groom's mother in a two-piece gold crepe with black accessories and a corsage of white carnations. A buffet lunch was served. the bride's candle-lighted table was centred with pink roses flanked by the beautifully decorated wedding cakes. The toast to the bride was proposed by Rev. George Gough and responded to by the groom. Mrs. J. G. Baker poured and Mr. Ray MacLeod cut the ices. Asr sisting in serving were the Misses Elva MacKay. GRANTED CITIZENSHIP Marius Jacob Carl Olsen, a native of Aarhus, Jutland, Denmark, was granted Canadian Citizenship in a ceremony at the Supreme Court Saturday morning. Mr. Olsen is married and has one child. His home is in Charlottetown, but he is presently employed at Halifax. Mr. Olsen came to Canada some 10 years ago and in 1940 made application for naturaliza- tion. After his taking the oath of allegiance, Mr. Justice Tweedy ex- tended to him e warm welcome to the ranks of Canadian citi- zens. He was now the judge stress- ed, under a democratic govern- ment which recognized ths rights of all citizens. His rights as such a citizen carried corresponding du- ties, His Lordship added.

May 18th, when Pauline Elizabeth MacIsaac, daughter of Mrs. John Macfsaac and the late Mr. Mac- Isaac of Borden, was united in marriage to David Lowell Mac- Leod, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Macbeod of Graham's Road. Msny friends regretted i0 Rim of the death of the late William H. Kelzer, which occurred at the home of his son. Lester Keizer, 32! Fitzroy Street, Charlottetown on May 15th. i948. An invalid for over thirteen years, he was devotedly cared for by his wile and family- While confined to his home. he was nevertheless greatly‘interested in all that appertained to the welfare of the community.

In 1897 he was married to libnily Joyce Webster of Ten Mile House. St. Peter's Road. Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Lester, merchant of Charlottetown. and Earl, employed with the Charlotte- town Guardian. A daughter, Eva, died about. eighteen years ago. There are three grandsons, Fred and lnrne Keizer and Harvey Brown; one granddaughter, Mabel Keizer. and one great-grand- daughter“ Cheryl Brown. One granddaughter predeceased him.
