It is a difficult task to . measure the success of Orien--

tation Week ’85. This is something that each indivi- dual who took part will have to decide for himself. Over 300 Frosh participated in Orientation from start to ﬁnish and the committee would like to say a ﬁnal “thanks” to U.P.E.I.’s newest students for attending.

believes Frosh Week was a success. Each committee member deserves praise for their enthusiastic preparation and work during the past months.

Russ Stewart and the U.P.E. LBookstore Staff did a fantastic job to provide materials for Orientation Week. Thanks Russ.

Our thanks also goes to Scott Russell and CBCT Charlottetown for their coverage of the past week’s events. It was strange to see the cameras around, but hopefully interested high school seniors will under- stand more about U.P.E.I.

The Committee would like to wish President Eliot all the best as he works through the next years and thank him for hosting a great Barbeque. Andy Dean at Cafateria kept the frosh well fed during the week. Our thanks go out to

I shall be in and out of my office throughout the rest of the week. If I am not in, submissions for the paper, or any messages, may be put through the slot on the door.

Submissions for The Netted Gem should be in no later than the Monday morning of the week in which you want your material published. All submissions are to be typewritten

and double spaced.

If you cannot have your material in by Monday morning, the editor will not guarantee the material’s publication in

that week’s issue.
