They are the seeds of pod bearing vines—climbing plants plentiful along the shores of the Caribbean sea. Each pod, resembiing an exaggerated peapod, contains a num ber of seeds. The latter, falling when ripe into the water, are carried by the calf stream around the south end of Florida and up the Atlantic coast [here are three important varieties, one reddish and flat, another more round and gray, and the third much bigger and of a mahozany color. Hog Experiments.

Two important experiments with feeding hogs have beenimade. One was at our experiment farm at Ottawa, and the question considered was whetner warm or cold feed is the best. The re sults of the experiment ssemed to show that cooking the food for the hogs was not profitable. In the experiments peas

and also the same aimount warmed by steam. In Bulletin 22 of the Minnesota station the question of wet or dry feed for hogs has been considered.
