I have, therefore, thought lit, by and with the advice of Her )1 :rjesrv's Executive Council of this Island, to issue this Proclama- tion, hereby requiring and Commanding all Ullieers, Civil and .lilitary, in this Government, to continue in the regular and due execution of the Duties and Powers of their respective ()tlices.

And I do further require and Command all and singular Her Majesty's Utlieers, Ministers, and loving subjects of this Island, and all others whom it may concern, to take due notice hereof, and to give their ready obedience accordingly.

Given under my hand and the Great Seal of this Island, at Charlottetown, in the said Island, this Twenty-first dayoi' July, in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty-live, and in the Twenty-ninth year of Her Majesty’s reign.

Notice, that on and utter the 27th day of June, 186.3, a light will be exhibited from a light-house reCently erected on 1110i“;th head, the south-east extreme ot‘llrunet Island, Fortune Bay.

The light will be a flux/tiny white light, showing a flash every m; .W‘t'oIU/N, and visible in all directions except when bearing between 13.8.11 and South, when it will be obscured by the inter- vening high land. It is placed at an elevation of 40: feet above the mean level of the sea, and in clear weather should be seen front a distance oi about 23 miles.

Mercer head is a bold head land in lat. 47° 1 31’ .30“ West of Greenwich.

BELL AND BEACON BOAT 0N DAUNTS BOOK.

V BE Corporation of the Port of Dublin has given Notice, that a Bell and Beacon boat has been placed to mark the position of Daunts rock, otf Roberts head, near Cork Harbour.

The Beacon boat is colored black, with the words Daunts Rock in white letters on the superstructure, which is surmounted by a ball 24 feet above the sea, and lies in 12 fathoms at low water springs, at nearly 11 cabl:s S.S.W. of the rock, with the Telegraph tower on Roche point in line with the peak of a distant mountain hear- ing N.E. 1154; and the gable end of a white house in Roberts cove just open of the north-east side of entrance to the cove N. g E.

The Beacon boat rides by 80 fathoms of chain and will therefore occasionally swing near the rock.

The buoy which has hitherto marked Daunts Rock remains in the same position as before. ,
