The above Table shows the amount of coin tition and the number of competitors we think shows an increase over former years and there must be a corree nding increase of the crops grown; we bog oavc to congratulate the soci- at on the success of their encouragement of the growth of this valuable crop._

The cultivation generally we have no hesita- tion in suyin is good and very creditable to the Farmers w ose ields we visited; here and there are some defects which we will endeavor to point out, in doing which we hope we shall not be thought presum tuous and hope our re- marks will be accoptub e to the society.

We doubt very much the pro riot of allow- ing Furmers to compete for prizes or Turnips who do not practise a regular rotation of Crop- ing which us for as we could ascertain isnot generally done.
