CHRISTMAS BIRD COUNTS. Count dates have been set for Sat., Dec. 19th for the P.E.I. Nat- ional Park Count, and Mon., Dec. 28th for the Hillsborough Count. Participation fee is $2.00 per person for each count. (The fee helps to off- set costs of publishing count reports in American Birds, the official bird count journal printed in New York.) As in other years we will also try to record any mammals or their sign observed. At the end of each count day everyone is invited to share in a potluck supper to swap adventures, compile totals and, of course, to eat! The supper following the Hillsborough Count will be at Rosemary Curley‘s home in waterside. A site for the Dec. 19th potluck supper is still needed so if you could loan your home for the occasion, even if you can't come along on the count, please let the compiler know.
