Isnanp Vesset Lost.—The Chatham, N. B., Advance reports that the bark ‘‘ Annie MecNairnp,” Johnston, master, arrived at Chatham from Liverpool en Sunday last, bringing the crew of the scheoner ‘‘ Amiel,” McDonald, master, bound from Cardigan, P. EB. 1, to St. Pierre, Miquelon, laden with eattle and produce. The ‘‘ Amiel’ became dismasted aiout seventy miles N. N. W., of Cape Race, and the crew would have been lost but for the timely aid of Captain Johnson. Twenty-two sheep, three pigs and the vessel's sails were a)! that was saved in addition to the crew. ‘I'he names of the creware: Daniel McDonald, master; Austin Carien, Philip Steele, anc Alex. McLean. Malcolm Mc- Lean, owner of the vessel and part owner of the cargo, was a passenger. The balance ef the carge was owned by John G, Scrimage- our, Esq., of Cardigan, P. E. I. No insurance on either vessel or cargo. The wrecked crew speak in the highest terms of the kindness showed them by Capt. Johnson and his effi- cers. The ‘‘ Annie McNairn” lay by the ‘* Amiel” from 9 p. m. on the 24th till a. m. on the 25th, and the eseape of the latter’s crew was uuder the circumstances providen-

Carr. James R. McDenatp Drownep,— A despatsh to the New York Herald of the rd inst., reports that the bark ‘‘ County of Richmond,”’ (before reported,) left New York Oct. 3, loaled with 602 tons of coal for St. Thomas. Un the 12th of October the vessel sprung a leak during the heavy weather and aiso losther rudder. Oa the 14th about 7 e'clock, the cargo shifted, on account of the heavy seas. At $a. m. of the 13th, the ves- sel foundered in lat. 31 04 W, long. 66 37 W. Only two of the crew were saved. The mate, Rederick McDonald, and Henry Lang,seaman, werefsave by building a raft, and after six days’ fleating around without food or water they were picked up by the Austrian bark Lendro, (apt. Gladulich, and taken to Bos- ton, Great praise is due Capt. Gladulich and his crew, {or the dangers they risked in res- cuing the shipwrecked men “and for the care they took of them when rescued, The crew of the ‘‘ City of Richmond ” consisted of nine men; composed of the captain, James R. MeDonald, his brother, the mate, Roderick, and Henry Lang, and six ethers whose names could not be ascertaired, as they shipped in New York. ‘The Richmond was owned by the Messrs. Kenny, of Helifax. Captain Mac- Donald was about 27 years of age, and his brother Roderick abont 24, and both belong to to Prince Rdward Island. Lang is about 27 years old, Roderick McDonald was sent by the British Consul to the city hospital.

2. To defeat legal processes for the en- forcement of rents.
3. To prevent the letting of farms from which tenants have been evicted.

To-morrow morning the traversers will be served witli. subpoenas, containining the gist of the informations and calling upon them to appear within four days of date. Upon their appearance the traversers will have four days to plead, and having plead- ed they then put themselves upon the county for trial. The jury under the old system will then be struck. The panel will include forty-eight names. ‘The pross- cution may gather some force from the fact that the house of a priest, who is an oppon ent of the Land League, has been sacked at Limerick. A collision has also oecurred between the police and the people at Head- ford, near Tuam, county Galway,; originat- ing in an attempt to remove some drunk- ards, andit is reported that many were seriously injured on both sides. The Land League has received a letter from The O'Donoghue requesting admission to the Leaguo. I understand that Mr. Boynton will raise the question of his American citizenship; but as that peint was effectually settled in the Fenian trials it will avail him little.
