Bi OWN ON THE TR ACK.—A late despatch from Reading, Pa., says: The high wind of yesterday morning blew over the frame one-story passenger station of the Wil- mingtow and Northern Railroad company at Ridgewood, and it fell across the rail-

road tracks. Joseph Gritliths saw the building on the tracks and walked ahead te warn the engineer. It was still dark, andashe had no lantern the engineer failed to hear him, although he waved his bat and shouted at the top ef his voice. The train planged throngh the station. Company “‘D” will meet every Friday after- noon in Hazel Grove Schoolhouse, at the close of the school.

How shall I sing of yaliant deeds Upon the fields of battle done ? How sball I give the rightful meed Of praise to those who victory won ?

The Gordon Highlanders’ ehall be The subject of my grateful lay;

In them trne manhood do we see, Brave soldiers of the present day.

True to the record of the past,

These valiant men ot Scottish birth, Ascend the rugged steep, and, fast,

Run the vile rebels to the earth.

Encouraged by the piper’s strain, The music of their native land,
