An Indian brother of Little Crow, Sioux Chief, who has arrived from Dakota, says he was at the Spotted Tail Agency lately. He met three Indians who had left Sitting Bull in the British possessions, and had re- turned to their hunting grounds, because they were determined not to take up arms again under Sitting Bull against their white brother. Sitting Bull’s people are treated very badly by the English, and Sitting Bull has expressed a determination to return to his own lands, and there die, rather than submit to such treatment.

We direct the attention of the police to a very disorderly gang of boys who, every evening, congregate on Hillsborough Square. Some of them are not satisfied with acting diserderly, but at the very top of ‘their voice make use of the filthiest language con- ceivable. We suggest that they be com- pelled to seek playgrounds elsewhere.

Improvemunt.—The Legislature this Ses- sion have abolished the old Small Debt Court of this city, and created a new one in its place, to be named as ‘*The City Court of the City of Charlottetown,’ The former jurisdiction is increased to eighty dollars, The proceedings are greatly simplified, and will be similar to those in the County Courts. The Judge of the Court is the Stipendiary Magistrate. This will some- what increase this gentleman’s duties, but the benefit to the citizens will, we are sure, more than compensate him for any addi- tional labor.
