I feel that lack of stu— dent involvement on the social level has reached a critical stage. For ex~ ample, the average atten— dance at class meetings ranges between ten and fifteen people, which is ‘ -obviously far too low.

So basically, I think the student union should devote it's efforts to not only trying to get more people involved, but also to find out why people are_present— 1y reluctant to get invol—— ved—— then do something a about it. One way of do— ing this is to take the Student Union to the stud— ents.arFor instance, for 'the‘first thing, the .Student Union could go directly to the students and conduct an intensive, well-organi zed survey to ’, get information on what

the students want.

Such action is possible, whether it be in the area of the justified complaint- of resident students or the general lack of real student involvement in the determination of such im— portant issues as curricu: lum and staffing policies. The long—discussed anti— calendar would be a top priority with me. Accessability should be

The PhotooClub & Yearbook proposal was presented and it was decided that the de- cision should be made by the Executive.Council felt that the proposal should be accepted.

The directory was described by L. Burke. It will cost from $300—

$500. Council wanted 1000 copies to be print— ed.

Picture day, Thurs., Feb.l7, all Executive members were going to help sell them. The in— terest from fund to be used for bursaries.

A.F.S. referendum - to be held on Feb.23. An explanation of referendum,‘ will appear in the Cadre.
