came forward to set the pace. ;l=ii-ffalo—Ankerite was a strong \".'er, advancing 70 cents to .«~ 10W an aggregate gain of 1.45 for the last two sessions. The gold share index slipped .14 and the miscellaneous mines index was up .06.

A buvvliig rush developed in ‘neck Hughes and about 13.000 shares changed hands on a price advance of 25 cents to 4.95. Other senior issiies were quiet and mainly iin- clianged. Dome dropped 3-4, Bra- lornc 10 cents, and Wright Har- greaves udded .: cents. Among the cheaper issues Chibougamau. up 20 cents and Preston. up 21. were outstanding while gains of 5 to 10 cents were boarded for God‘: Lake. Pavmaster. Red Lake.
