BOERS AROUND BLOEMFONTEIN.
Loxpox, April 6.—The Boers continue to appear at various places around Lord Roberts’ position at Bloemfontein, causing the British to concentrate so as to be ready to face an attack from any direction, The latest force toshow itselfon the acene of action is reported to be in the neighborheod of Karee Siding.
There is no doubt that the Boers have beew largely reinforced. It is suppoeed by the Free Staters who only recently pro- fessed to yield and give up some of their firearms that the Boer movements in force strongly indicate their purpose to barass Lord Roberts in the hope of bampering any attemp: to move northward. Four companies who had been doing escort duty to Watervaal Drift, retired yesterday to Springfield, some eight miles out. Today they returned to the old camp tents which arrived today from Belmont. They are a great boon, as the men have been sleeping in the open.
