SERIOUS FIRE-The home oi w. and Mrs. Merrill Green, Kingston, narrowly escaped destruction by iire last evening when during their ab- sence in Charlottetown a blaae broke out in ihe kitchen, supposedly irom the chimney. The children who were about ran a considerable distance ior help to the nearest neighbour's and soon s. large crowd had gather- ed. The iire was extinguished by seven members oi the Charloitetown Fire Department who hurried to the scene in the Roly truck, but not be- fore the entire kitchen roof had been destroyed. The main part oi the building was saved by tearing a large number oi shingles from the walls.
