The P. E. I. Hospital, and the Charlottetown Hospital are making a ioini appeal to all their friends and supporters for financial assistance for capital expenditures and we ask you for your generous support.

While fhe financial burden caused by hospitalization for illness has been removed by Hospital Insurance. the responsibility for financing fhe hospitals. and much of its facilities and services, remains with the members of the communify the hospital serves. Both our hospitals are in urgent need of funds to provide new facilities and services. and to pay for those procured. and for services rendered during the past fhree years. and for which we have had to go info debt. For this. we urgently need your assistance.

Our appeal is addressed to all members of the com- munities we serve. We are encouraged by the fact that many people have voluntarily shown their support of our campaign. and of our need. by indicating to us their desire to contribute. to the hospitals. the rebates which will shortly be Issued by the Hospital Services Commission. Thoso'who wish to use this method of contributing. may do so by on- dorslng their cheques and marking them "To be deposited to the account of Hospital." Indicating the hospital of your choice. Where no choice is Indicated. the contribution will be divided equally between the two Ho:- pli'ois. Receipts for income tax purposes will be Issued by the Hospital or Hospitals receiving the contributions. i
