Rhee Threatens To March North

SAINT JOHN. N.B. (CP)—Three men survived a midnight brush with death in the roaring rapids of the Reversing Falls here Saturday as they attempted to tow la scow through the gorge too long after the turn of the tide.

The falls gorge is navigable only

The scow was bcached on an island above the falls and ihe motorboat capsized in the rapids and smashed on the rocks after thc trio reached shore.

The men were approaching the gorge from up the St. John river about 11:30 p.m. Saturday. The scow swung in an eddy and punc- iurcd the 38-foot cabin motorboat below the waterline. Inrushing \\'2ilL‘l‘ drowned the motor.

GUELPH, Ont., (CP\—Rev. Jos- eph E. Richard. oldest Jesuit priest in the world, died Saturday at 100. He served for almost 65 years as a missionary to Indians and whites in the Upper Great Lakes region of Ontario.

Father Richard. the oldest Ro- man Cathollc priest in Canada. was born in Montreal where he was ordained a priest in 1886. He immediately started work with the Indians which he contin- lied until 1953, except for a year away for study.
