Lonpony March 9,—-A telegram has been received here fromthe Geriaan consulate at Port Said stasiug that the cook of the German steamer Messina has been landed there. The cook reports that the Messina foundered off Scilly Islands during a gale ou February 19h. {t is believed the rest ef the crew of twenty-five were lost. The Messina sailed from Marry dock oa Feb. 18th for Marseilles. The Messina was owned by R. M. Sloman & Co., and hailed from Port Hamburg. A Norwegian steam- ec arrived from Marseilles yesterday and reported that she pissed off the Portuguese coast & quantity of wreckage, on some of which the name of the Messin a appsared.
