Colvllle Road. P. E. I. Miss Mscsivain, after graduating from Prince of Wales College. taught school for several years in P. E. I., then came west. to Sask and took a Normal School tralii lng at Regina. Alter leaching ioi a time in Basic. Miss MaoSivsiti came to Winnipeg and is now teaching at the Lord Roberts School. 1 Miss lVlaoSu-alirs grandparents, Allan MacSwaln and Alex Mac- Lure. both born iii-Scotland. were among the first elders of the Hartsville Presbyterian congrega~ tlon; and often during the absence of the minister. the grandfather MacSwaln carried on the services. Mr. Stewart who is the son oi the late Alexander and Mary An- nie (Linkletter) Stewart. IOYHWIW of the Cross Rioads district, P.E.I.. came west around i912 (alter being trained as a machinist at Bruce Stewart's. Charlottetown). and holds a good position as master mechanic at the Winnipeg Gen- eral Hospital.

Mr. Stewart has a brother Mll- ton living in Charlottetown, en- gaged in the insurance business and two sisters. Katie. at. one time employed at the Hudson's Ba? Company Land Apartment. Winni- peg, now retired, living in Victoria. 3.0.; and Rena. Mrs. Harry Teed of Portland, Maine, a graduate nurse of the P. E. Island Hospital. There was a senior brother, Frank, of Bruce Stewart and Company. Charlottetown. who passed away a few years ago. s

Mrs. Stewart was the former Annie Hiimins. daughter of the late "Jghn L. a d Margaret (Millar) Hi5" gihmwdf Mr.‘ Higgins was a boiiermaker with the C.N.R.. and the late Mrs. Higgins operated a boarding house on l-Iillsboro St.

Before coming west, Mrs. Stewart was a steiiographer with the Island Telephone Co... Charlottetown.

Mr. and Mrs. Stewart were mar- ried in Winnipeg, the ceremony being performed by the late Rev. A. N. Simpson who was married to a Miss Bagnall o! Hazel Grove. P. E. I.

Mr. and Mrs. Stewart have two children. Margaret. a stenographei and Mrs, Ralph Isaac, of Vancou- ver. B. C. Mr. Isaac is a salesman with the London Life Insurance Co. ‘There are three children in the family: and Walter, an employee with the Winnipeg Electric Rall- way. Walter was a Flight Lieuten- ant in World War II and was an Instructor in the Air Force for several years. in Canada, before going overseas.

Mrs. Stewart revisited the Island about ten years ago, and Mr Stewart. about twenty-three years ago.
