The continued lack of agressive } movement on the part of the British is best explained in a despatch from Bloemfontein, dated Sunday March 25, and published in the Times. It Says :

This summary from headquarters is probably an accuratejexplanation of the frequent appearance and disappear ance of Boers and insurgents upon which the reports are so conflicting and which so puzzles military critics.
