The meeting was part. of the program scheduled in the two- day conference being held on the alcohol problem.

Mr. Shipp suggested to the young people that they be will- ing to sacrifice in order to have the good things of life and that they should not be ashamed of the good things that they do, but instead should talk about them and try to influence others.

He noted that “by ignoring people who you do not wish to associate with because of their unfavourable habits, you lose all chances of ever helping them reform from these ways."

He pointed out that the pro- gram of the Allied Youth move- ment was to help young men and women to become depend- able. honest and clean so th at they would be of some use in the world.
