This is the first of a hope-
fully weekly column that prom:
ises absolutely nothing, guar- antees even less, but will strive to become a farm for insanity, inanity, and just a bit of good fun — which is something that this paper is in need of, we have heard.
Of course, there will from time to time be some matters of interest and maybe even some of importance. But we will not comment on earth- shattering matters such as state of man, the state of being, or even the state of Maine.
To start off with, last Thurs. marked the emergence of the word "Please" on campus. Marvelous green, blue, red, and silver cans appeared

A check of the con- tents of one of the.cans revealed almost entirely trash, so that must be what they're for. Of course there were also three dirty socks and a business student, so the actgal purpose may still be in doubt. /
No more "Keep off the grass" signs, either. "Please" has replaced them, too. I wonder whoever thought of such a_\ great concept. They might put a "Please" sign up in the Business Office while they're at it. That.word has been V noticeable lacking in any of our recent dealings with the wonderful women who slave ' down there in the dungeon,

Grant Cavin's shoes came asunder Friday morning just before leaving for Halifax. Equipment manager Hermie MacNeil was frantically’at- tempting to order a pair of size 14 cleats (no easy task in Charlottetown). He finally had to try Halifax, but no one knew the name of a sport-» ing goods store. (Hurry up Herm, the bus is leaving). There was no Halifax phone“ book anywhere to be had. but information had it that there would be one at the Premier's Office. A quick call was placed, and one of the Man's staff came through. Sports shops numbers were relayed,

Details are not available at the moment, but we understand that it is one bursary a year, and it has already been awarded for this year, and’the announce- ment will probably have al- ready been made by the time you read this. We're not too sure on the criteria for it and that stuff, though.
