Education Week Being Observed At Montague

Education week is being ob- served in the Montague High School. with the public being in- vited to visit the school on Wed- nesday and Thursday. to be wel- comed by the teachers in the re- spective rooms.

Although no spccinl program has been arranged. it. will give the parents and teachers an op- portunity tn meet and discuss problems relating to the school and to the students. Last year a large number visited the school. and it is expected that an equal- ly large number will be present this year.

It was learned yesterday after- noon that both the Montague Bantams and the Peewees have been registered for the Playoffs. and such being the case they will line up against the Souris Ban- tams and Peewees on Thursday

night to determine the King's County championship.

The Montague Bantams elim- inated the Murray Harbour Ban-

tame on Monday night. while the Peewees have not had registered opposition to date. These are two good teams. and it is expected that they will give a good Ic- counr of themselves in the final games. p

The support of the people WIII help these youngsters along :1 great deal when it is realized that these boys will be the hoc- key team of tomorrow. and all owe it to the boys to assist them in every way to develop their hockey ability. Georgetown Girls Win From Montague

In a heme and home. goals t.o count. hockey series. the Mon- tague girls went down to defeat

before the Georgetown girls in the first game played at Montague last. night.

Led by Delory and Prosper, the visitors hammered at the new and experienced Montague goalie to garner a total of four goals in each period.

Although the score was one ald- ed. the play was fairly even. but the locals were unable to capital- ize on their many chances which would have made the score more even. The locals have a. large def- iclt to make up Whrn they mul- Georgetown in the final game of the series.
