IN PURSUANCE OF THE ACT

of the General Assembly of this Island, made and passed in the Eleventh year of the Reign of his late Majesty King George the Fourth, entitled “An Act for raising a fund by an Assessment on Land, for erecting a Govern- ment House and other Public Buildings within this Island." [do hereby publicly notify the Owners, Proprietors, or Occrxpiers of Lands within this Island, for which the Annual As- sessmentcharged thereon by the said Act, of Two Shillings lawful money of this Island, for every hundred acres contained in the several Townships thereof, and in the several Islands belonging thereto, and the sum of Two Shil- lings for every Town Lot, Pasture Lot, Com- manot, and Water Lot, granted in the Town and Royalty of Charlotte~Town; and the sum of One Shilling and Four-pence for every Town Lot, Pasture Lot, Common Lot, and Wa- ter Lot, in the Towns and Royalties of George- Town and Prince Town, is payable, that, unless the Assessment for the current year shall be paid into my hands on or before the Seven teenth day of February next, I shall on the last day of the next HilaryTerm, (1833) cause Pro- clamation to be made, of all such lands as shall then be in arrear, for non payment ofthe sums charged thereon, agreeably to the directions

PUBLIC NOTICE isherehy given, that His Majesty‘s Supreme Court ofJudicat ure,Court of Assize, and General Gaol Delivery, for this lsland, will be held at Charlotte-Town, on Tuesday the Thirtieth of October next, at the hour of ten o’clock forenoon of the same day— ofwhich all Justices, Coroners, High and Pet- ty Constables and Bailiffs within this Island will take notice, and laying aside all manner of business and excuses whatsoever, be then and there to do and fulﬁl those things which by reason of their several ofﬁces shall be to be done.
