Today's craze of Emo-Punk Rock is taking over the music industry, and local band Laterdaze (Andrew MacDonald, Andrew Falls and Jordan Walsh) is representin’.

This short 3 track cd features the best songs on their repertoire, with Jordan and Andy Mac sharing the vocal duties. Back up is the name of the game on all three songs, which have clever guitar riffs, solid drum beats and catchy bass lines, the songs make you want to get off your ass and dance. Even though the sound quality may not be as high as some CD's, the musical quality makes up for it.

It starts off with Last Train

Home, a great song that leads up to one of the most thrilling bring-it-home sections I've heard in a while. My New Year's Resolution is next, which is a great balanced representation of Laterdaze. Solid throughout. Lastly is Shadows Lead the Way. This is sung by Andrew MacDonald, and it makes up for the album being only 3 songs long; it's around 6 and-a-half minutes. It doesn't get boring though, so it's an enjoyable 6 and-a-half minutes.

Selling for 5 dollars, this album is a must-have for a fan of _ music in general, seeing as the songs are, indeed, musically enriched. Also a good way to check out and support some great Island talent.

Blood, pave, rock, dirt; she moans on the ground in circles with her broken fingernails and nose. Dislocated hair swimming in the dark pool on the walk and fingers to face. It was strictly self-defense.

He looks down at furious weeping woman as mob approaches then swarms. A shout of disbelief from behind. A desire to understand ugly sit- uation in the dark. The repercussions perhaps somewhat harsh as crack fall cry again but in new order and for new member of the broken blood club.

Fist to the face. The gut. Blood in my eyes and I wanted to cry, I was bigger than she was. "Stop please" were the words I used over and over, "no I won't hit you just stop". Repeated attempts to cause pain and a knee in the groin was the last straw.

Sexist asshole; macho asshole; pig; if I were a guy you'd hit me you pig; fucking pig; you say you're no sexist; hit me you pig.

Curses, incantations, a strange brew of anger and mouth full of bats.
