The Dominion Association match was continued yesterday, when the Lady Mac- dougall cup match was continued. The cup and $20 was won by Capt. Milnaughton of the 57th Batt., with a score of 46; the second prize, $20, was won by Bard:wan Young, of the 45th Batt., with a score of 46, and the third prize, $10, was won by Lieut. MeMichery, of the 44th Batt. Gunner Watson and Sergt. Mumford, of the 63rd Batt. won S10 each with a score of 45 points. Lieut. Blair, of the 78th Batt. and Capt. Barnhill won $10 each, with a score of 45 points; Capt. Corbin, 63rd Batt.. won a $6 prize; Capt. Nelson, $4, and Sergt. Cribb, 78th Batt., $4. In the Ouimet match, Capt. Moore, 25th Batt. won $25, with a score of 31; Sergt. Mum- ford, 63rd Batt., won $10, with a score of JU; Gunner Campbell, won $5, with a score of 27; Sergt. Nelson won $5, with a score of 26; Sergt. Blair won $4, with a score of 26; Capt. Carbin won $4, with a score of 25. Fourteen men were ruled out for keeping off till the rain stopped.

At the banquet given bygthe Lord Mayor at the Mansion House last evening in honor of Parnell and his colleagues in the Commons, Parnell said that if Home Rule was refused to Ireland, the Irish members in the Commons would make it impossible for the English members to legisfate. He denounced the recent outrages in Ireland, and said the Land Question was the great question in Ireland.

A Mysterious Dcuble Murder.

WIPING OUT THE POLICE FORCE OF A TOWN.

A double murder was committed about 12 o'clock on the night of the 29:h, at Geneva, Kane Co., Illinois, the victims being two of the three ofticers who consti- tute the police force of the town. The deed was committed near the Court House. Some dozen shots were heard by residents

in the neighborhood, given in quick succession, at midnight, but no one left his bed to find the cause. A party of

merry-makers returning from a picnic at one o’clock found the bodies of the murder- ed men, and raised alarm. Officer McNutt was found dead with a bullet hole in the region of the hear‘, his revolver with five chambers emptied lying near him. McNutt lay at the south-east corner of the Court Hous’ ,and several rods away onthe sidewalk was found officer Grant, also with a bullet hole in the breast, but on the right side. There is no clue tothe perpetrators of the crime, There have been several attempted burglaries in the town of late,andit is suppos- ed that on the night of the 29th the officers discovered the burglars at work or leaving the scene of their unlawful activity; and in the attempt to arrest them, the officers being sepsrated, the fatal shots were fired by the thieves. Grant’s pistol was found near his side, four chambers being emptied.
