Gov'l To Prohibit Low Quality Milk
Sale of low quality milk in‘ the province will be prohibited in the near future. Agriculture Minister Andrew MacRae said Thursday.
The agriculture minister said “the Dairy Products Manufact- uring Act and regulations will be amended to conform to milk in- troduced in July 1963 by the federal food and drug author- ities."
The federal regulations say that “no producer of milk shall offer for sale milk which has a bacteria count in excess of 3.- 000.000 per cubic centimetre. or two milligrams of sediment"
Any producer selling milk in excess of these standards will be prohibited from selling milk and no manufacturer “shall purchase milk for manufacture or manufacture milk into dairy products if he has reason to be- lieve it does not meet these re- quirements."

He said the provincial legis- lature building. where the Queen is heduled to speak Saturday. will be closed to all but accredited persons as of Friday noon.

In most areas her car will move at about 20 miles an hour on trips through Quebec City but it will slow down to about 10 miles an hour in upper town streets, site of the Chateau and other landmarks.
