Civil Service Dismissats—Estimates Nearly Ready— Certain Conservatives and the School Question,

Senater Ferguson Scores the Government.
Orrawa, Aprill.—Hon. Mr. Ferguson de livered an able speech yesterday afternoon in the Senate. He ridiculed the paltry ex- cuse given by the Government for retain- ing the principle of procection in its tariff bill, and scored the Government for mak - ing ‘the announcement concerning the coal duties to influence the election in Nova Scotia, and said that the Government 1s responsible for a most indecent action.
