ALBERTON — Tax arrears for the town of Alberton are close to $6,000 and action was taken at the regular meeting last night to greatly mduce this amount by the end of June. Collection of arreas is $1.000 less than at this time last year. Town Clerk Thelma Ahearn said. Notices are to be sent advising that a settlement of some kind must be made by the end of June otherwise the bills will be handed in for collection.
