Correspondence was read which

consisted of a "thank you", letter from Mrs. James Blake tor money received for scholarship and na- tional taxes. A-second "thank you" letter was read from one of our members, Mrs. Peter Costello. for Spiritual Bouquet and Mass offer- ing ‘for her speedy recovery. A letter from the “Missionaries of Mary" was then read. This was an appeal for funds to help the new congregation of women de- voted to the work of the "Foreign Missions". It was moved by Mrs. Laura Murray and seconded by Mrs. John I". McQuEid that we give ten dollars to this worthy cause. Sixty dollars was also vot- ed for repairs to the two church organs. The women decided to scrub and clean the church on May 20th. They also decided to hold a ham supper in the parish hall on May 24th.

The president appointed women in the different school districts to check on the children's attendance at the end oi the school year for the purpose oi finding out who was to receive the ten dollar prise of- fered by the League for attendance at school.

Another year has been left be- hind us and with great anticipa- tion I am here tn review and re- vive the actions of our Catholic organization within our beloved little parish of St. Ann's.

The representation of our fifty

The illness of one of our belov- ed members is deeply regretted and it is our great privilege to pledge ourselves to offer prayers and sacrifices for her speedy ro- covery. This we did in the form of a Spiritual Bouquet. We must not forget to mention that ws hove all participated in the spiritual offering presented to the Holy See for his jubilee, Cardinal Mlndzenty has also been remembered.
