H. Yates, to the effect that the pretest of Mr. H. B. Sunith, agaiast toe validity of the Election held on Saturday, the 20th of July, tor Ward 4, was stifficrent validate said election, nw evidence having heen addueed to prove that any veters in the said Ward bad beeu precluded from polling a vote fo either of the candidates d iring the day ; and that therefore the election of Mr. D. M. Hooper he coufirmed. Cottneitler Morris submitted an dmendment, to the effeet that the Board having heard the protest made by Mr. Sanrth, and alse the Presiding officer's admissson relative to the hour at winch the Poli fur the Election jn question was opened, cannot but consider that the said Election was net opened as required by the I2th Section of the Act of Locorporation, and was therefore iuvalid and should be set aside.
