Intramurals I

The Intramurals column was received for print this week, however, it has been decided by those in authority at the SUN office that the coltmm is unprintable. The Intramural column is suppose to give the week's update in sports. It is not an excuse to write pure filth. We are not prudes but there is a limit and this week's column was garbage. If Intramurals is cleaned up, it will be printed. If not, it won't be. It’ is as simple as that. We apologizeto those who have a genuine

interest in the column.

Forum on Energy L

From: Heather Griswold "Forum on Energy", a

two day session on electricity

and other forms of energy- will take place at the University of Prince Edward Island on Thursday and Friday, February 25. and 26, University President Dr. Peter Meincke announced today. The forum is designed for the general public, particularly those involved in energy consumption, be it in the hone, on the farm in fisheries or in industry. Coordinator of the forum is Dr. M.P. Madan of the University's Department of Physics. 'Dr. Madan notes, "the purpose of this event is to provide a forum for discussing energy problems on PEI. The sessions will provide an opportunity to increase our understanding of the nature of the problem and the wide variety of solutions that are being proposed." Dr. Madan said that in addition to members of the general public there will be menbers of the ’ government sector

in attendance. V

Some of the panel Discussion worshops titles are: Why are electric ' bills on PEI so high? What effects are they having on homeowners, businesses industries and farmers? What can be done?. Energy in heating V , tranSportation, and the operation of machinery. What are tomorrow's alternatives?

The forum will Open with sessions on the 25th. On Feb 26th there will be panel discussions and

workshOps thorughout the day and a banquet in the evening. Registration which is limited, is $10. This will include a reception, coffee, tea, V

' lunch, etc. The banquet is an additional $6.00.

Canadian playwright - Janis Rapopcrt's play "Dreamgirls" will be ' presented at the V MacKenzie Building in Charlottetownr‘as part of the Island Woman's Arts Festival.
