Tau Caaauiter.—'I‘hc Barrie " Advance," remarking on the decimal currenc , seys:—" We readily admit that the American coinage is iabls to objections, but though it is pos- sible that a decimal currency may be defective in some respects, we are at a loss to conceive how any one, who is competent to odor an opinion upon the subject, can deny that a coinage may be so const decimal principle, as. to be, beyond ctanpsrison, superior to any other. It is objected ageinu dollars and costs that they are unsuited to the business of small traders; but is this a consequence of the decimal arrangement! Will any one pretend to its that if the shillings were divided intotea equal parts, instead of twelve, it would not be as con. venient a coin as at present!
