PSYCH CLUB NEWS

The UPEI Psychology Club has been underway for quite some time now. I have been trying to get an article in the paper fora couple of weeks but each time something seems to have hap- pened either at my end or at the paper’s end, so hopefully this time it will happen. That was a bit of information for the Psychology students who wondered what was going on. Anyway, on to more important stuff, our upcoming events:

Oct. 16 was meet your prof. afternoon in the psych lounge, a good time was held by all.

Oct.29 Hallowe’en Party!! In the Psych lounge, basement of Memorial at the 8:30 p.m. All Psych students are invited! You MUST dress up!

Oct. 30 The Department will have a meeting discussing the numbers getting into the Psych major program. So anyone who hasn’t gotten in yet don’t despair!

Nov.5 PUB! Our pub will be held atthe Barn with either Phase II or The Strings playing. We haven’ tas of yet decided which one.

Nov.13 Graduate Info. Day. Inthe Psych lounge for anyon: who does not know what to do witha B.A. in Psychology afte: graduating.

That ends the list of events so far. Our volleyball challenge ha: been accepted by the Modern Languages Club and the Biolog) Club. Rumour has it the Biology Club doesn’t think they nee to practice. Idon’tknow, guys, maybe you should rethink that! If anyone else want to accept our challenge justcall Darlene a 368-7292. We want to set up a tournament but we need mor teams.

Our next meeting will be held on Oct. 28 in the Psych loung located in the basement of Memorial.

To end my bleep here, I would like to congratulate the Engineer ing Society on taking astand in the alleged sexual assault case The Psychology Club would like to extend to the victim of thi heinous crime our support as well. We would also like to say that our attention should be focused on the victim, towar helping her deal with the situation, toward catching the perpe trator (s) and towards making the campus a safe place.
