The deceased, who was formerly a member of the Legislative Council, was a man of great integrity, firm adherence to his convictigns of right and true honesty of purpege. He was deservedly esteemed by all who knew him; and he leaves a widow, five sons, and a very large circle of relatives and friends, who mourn the loss of an affectionate husband, a kind father, an obliging neighbor, and a truly reliable and hospitable friend.
