ALPHEUS PARKER RAMSAY

In less than a week death called a second time in Mount Pleasant. This time claiming Alpheus Par- ker Ramsay in his Both year. The deceased had been in his usual good health Saturday evening Dec. 29th, when he was suddenly stric- ken witb a cerebral hemorrage. He was removed the the Stewart Memorial Health Centre, Tyne Valley, where, despite medical skill and capable nursing he pas- sed away on January 'lrd.

The deceased spent all his life in Mount Pleasant where he follow- ed the trade 'of carpenter. He was a man of quiet dispolition and his life centred chiefly in his home.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife the former Mathilda Pen- warden: four daughters and five sons namely Mildred, Summcrside Mrs. Florence Mahoney, Water- town, Mass, Mabel Mrs. Albert Wilks. Moncton, N.B.; Olive. Mrs. James Campbell. Mount Pleasant Howard, Watertown, Mass: Ro- land. Moncton, N.B- Eldon. R.C. A. F. Vancouver. B.C., Wilbur. Mt. Pleasant. Also two sisters Mrs Spurgeon Altken. Walisiun Mass. and Mrs. Charles Stewart, Sum- merside. one daughter. Mrs. Mac- Kenzie predeceased him in March. 1056

Funeral services vicre held on January 6th. Services at the home and Tyne Valley Presbyterian Church were conducted by his pas- tor. Rev. L. M. Macriaughton. who spoke very comforting words to the bereaved. Despite inclement weather and the condition of the road a large crowd was In atten- dance.
