Parsing the same prentises, on a previous occasion, | noticed a lot of cattle penned in~the~rame~yard,; which” was keptvim a filthy condition—the steneh something in- tolerable, * Inquiring of the agent or owner, revealed the fact-that-the=tenant, a well- known pfoduce dealer, was pressing hay on the prenmrises ‘without permission,’ ahd that the yard had not ‘been rented fora cattle and pig’ pen. AS cooper and carriage shops abound in thé immediate neighborhood, the huisance’ I have complained of, is a menace to the health and safety of the whcéle district. What are the Corporation about in permitting sach a nuisance to exist 7? 1 was under the impression that the pressing and storeing of loose hay and straw, aod the use of yards as cattle and pig pens, is illegal in the city ?
