With the night beautiful around us. we walked up from lane's end a few minutes ago, returning from an excursion abroad.

The young March moon had gone down. leaving a pleasant dimness in its wake. Ove in this cup of valley. far stars shone on the snowy fields, and the dark velvet of tree and woodland. on the roofs of the flairmsteadts ’ nestled warmly in their winter - white. it was. breathless. with that de- lightful peace and serenity OD- taining. which is given to us. who d well in quiet places. to enjoy.
