style, with the pure white line from brow to crown, may find some use io the following recommendation of the New York Evening Post for strengthening the hair and renewing thin spots: “To a quart of warm water allow one table- spoonful of salt, and just before retiring for the night wet the head thoroughly with this, not along the wideping seam alone, but the entire head. Repent this operation for one or two nights each week until good effects are ap- parent.” It is likely that the vigorous rubbing which this treatment makes necessary afterward is of ay much use to the hair as the salive treatment.
