presentatives of all Summerside serv1ce clubs, the Legion, and Board of Trade, whose members all play important roles in the smooth operation of the event.
The opening parade will include two “ducks” named “Daisy” and Donald” — amphibious vehicles w1th a capacity of 25 adults or 33 chlldren, which will operate every day carrying passengers from the carnival grounds on a slght-seeing tour of Summerside arbour along the shoreline and back to the grounds.
Last year’s Sea Queen, June Ford, will be included on the parade floats which will carry the sea queen contestants this year, and “Queen June” will reign throughout the carnival and until the crowning of the new queen on Saturday afternoon in a program which will be car- ried on the CBC transCanada radio network direct from Sum- menside.
All of the booth area within the stadium has already been taken up, and at' least a dozen industrial booths will be includ- ed among the others.
INDIAN BOOTH
‘One of the booths which pro- mises to attract the attention of every visitor-to the carnival will be one featuring the basket- making skills of the Indians from the Lennox Island reservation who will appear in full Indian dress on a float in the parade, and within a booth in the stadium throughout the four-day event.
