(2) A want of repentance. Some say godly sorrow is repentance, but the Bible says godly sorrow worketh repentance. Godly sorrow is a feeling; repentance is an act Repentance is turning from sin to God. Turning youdo repent. Think what sin is and what your Lord has done and you will repent.

(3) Wrong idea of what believing is. Jobn 1-12, “Io ay many as received Him.” In this the words receiving and believing are used synonymously. God cannot save without this condition of faith, rec*iving. You cannot have salvation till you are willing to receive it.

(4) Cawillingness to believe—another hindrance. “Belreveth me” means ‘w-l] not believe.’ Condemnation comes to those who will not believe—when we will to believe, God accepts. If any maa wills to bel.eve that Jesus Christ is the Saviour, and now saves, he sha!l be saved. Those who set their will against believing love darkness rather than light.

(5) Trving to befieve is @ formidable barrier. To say toa friend, I am trying to believe you, would be an awful insult. And to say, “I will try and believe God” is aninsujt toGod. Believe God straight. Leave out of your vocabulary forever the insulting word “ry,”

(6) The greatest hindrance of all—a want of decision, Those who are in the valley of deci-ion are very near to salva- tion.
