Ixquest.—Dr. McLeod, yesterday evening, held an inquest in view of the body of the un- known man found floating on the Hailisbor- ough. The evidence taken was exactly in accord with the account of the finding pub- lished in Tue Examiner yesterday evening The Coroner's charge to the jury was short. He simp'y informed them that, from the dis coloring of the skin and the sweliing of the abdomen, it would appear that the body of the deceased had been in the water at least twelve days, and that it was too much de- composed to effect a fall explanation. The jury—of which Professor Caven was foreman— without retiring, returned a verdict ‘‘ That the deceased came to his death from causes to the jurors unknown.” The bedy, up to the present, cannot be identified.
