A son of Captain Johu Rodericks, of Five Is lands, N.S, has been enved of a moat distressing ture lex by our medicine. We saw him yesterday at hix father’s house; he had just returned after walking fifteen totwenty miles through the woods, hunting partridges.

He fell upon the frozen hubs in January, 1862, and injured the bone near the knee. {[n about a week after his ley begun to swell and pain bim very severely. In about ten days they had it lanced ; it rau freely, but continued to discharive and pain him, and he became so very much redaced, that he wae unable to sit up in bed, until the last of September, [862. At this time he had scareely any flesh lett on him. From this time till the fall of 1864, he could vet about upon cratches, the ley discharging all this time.
