ANoTHER Figs. —The building in the rear of Miller Bros. Music Store, Queen Streer, owned by Mrs. Offer and occupied by Miller Bros’. as a stable and store-room, was damaged by fire on Saturday night. The alarm sounded about midnight. The firemen got te work with all possible despatch, and soon aucceeded in extinguishing the fire. The two horses in the stable were rescued by some young men who were early on the scene. Building and coatents were insured. The origin of the fire “is unknown. While werk- ing at the fire Mr. W. Koight lost a valu- able gold locket off bis watch chain.

Tax Montus Worx.— During the month of February, ending to-day, there were ten con- ~ietions for drunkenness, three for nuisance, and one each for assaait, vagrancy, fast driving, larceny. selling liquor to Indians, and disturbing religious worship. Two persons charged with maiotaining aud keeping 4 brothel were dismiased, and there was also one dismissal for fast driving and one for drunkenness. The receipts of the court during the month amounted to $79.01. During the month of February, 1891, there were eight convictions for drunkenne-s, and during Feb- ruary, 1890, there were twelve convictions for the same offence.

Missionary Concert. — The Missionary Concert held last Friday week in East Royalty Schoolhouse. waa repeated on Friday evening last in the Union Road cburch, Both con- certs were well attended, The programme was made up of vocal and instrumental music, readlogs, recitations and dialogues, Mies Emma Mc- Callum, and Miss Lizzie Wilson, of Charlotte- presided at the organ. The large audience was well pleased with the manner in which the programme was carried out. At the first concert the choir presented Miss Lizzie Wilson with an address accompanied by a handsome dressing case, aa a small tokea of their esteem for herself and in appreciation of her services as organist at the concert and the previous practice.
