Woten's Intraurals got off to a terrific start with four teams carpeting for the softball title. If you recall, the Tignish Trio made superb performances but lost out to Bernie ]

their four years at UPEI, has won a baseball title, football title, hockey _ title, and also a‘ few hockey tournaments. You also have .totopyour hat to the.M&M squad because they played with théir hearts in every—- thing they did and never quit. This is what made the franchise great. let's just hope there will be more teams like M&M in the future. Dave MacPherson, Bill Griffen, and Ostrich.

Another team that . played with enthusiam was the underdog team of _ Blanchard Hall. This team did not figure too well

during the regular season but did a hell of a lot in the playoffs. They won

the first two games of the playoffs but then went out two straight, but the games they lost were both by only one goal. This was the Cinderella team of the playoffs. \Although they didn't have the talent to ( win it all, they got every- thing from everybody on the team.

In ball hockey the Hockey Panthers went to the finals by defeating ‘ the Heads 4-1. The Heads, with an excellent squad, ran into a hot goalie - "The Raging Bull" - and could not put anything by him. This team was favoured to win the tour—

The upcoming awards banquet will feature various awards in many different categories. Up for Chapped Lip players of the year are Alan Stewart, Mike "Tracy C." Jones, and Steve Bishop. The winner of the Junior Dawson award is Sh a- a - a ne Doyle for most whimp outs in one year. The winner of Jack's Friendship award for being his #1 man at sportsmans breaking pool cues is Scotty "No Satisfaction" MacDonald. Scotty and Shame got together Saturday night. Knowing half of the most devoted couple is Ken "Kissyface" MacDonald. The other half is in Nova Scotia. Up for the Dristan-player of the year is Darren Riggs, David Beaton, and Steven Bishop. And last but not least, for Knobber award for most gems spread in one kiss is Mike "Sleepyhollcw" Hones. So this marks the end of another intramural year.

Business hockey team third

Monoton was the site of the fifth annual AUAA _ . business hockey tournament over the weekend March 19-22. In past years St. Mary's has dominated the

tournament with an unblemished

record. This was not to be the case this year as Acadia combined hard hitting and fast skating to overpower

Monoton 4-2 in the final.

UPEI was not to be disgraced. At the end of round robin play we were tied for second place with Acadia at 2 wins, 0 losses. The Acadia team advanced to the finals :by virtue of having scored more goals. UPEI had to
