On turniiig it over with the eel spears it was found to be a cash rcgistcr. The R.C.M.P. at Alber- ton were notified and it was learn- cd that the register had been stolen last weak-end from Shca‘s store at St. Louis. During the weak the office in the store was raiisnrkr-ti and it is believed other goods stolen. A small amount of silver remained in the cash regis- tcr when it was taken from the river. Flying Officer Emery is well and favorably known in Stimmcrside where he has taken part in many church, club, social, and sporting activities. In recent weeks he was pilot of a. large four-engined Lan- caster aircraft which carried mem- bers of the specialist navigation course to England, and later to the Arctic regions of Canada.
