GOVERNMENT sTOcK FARM

Tar report of the Commessioners shows that here are now on the Government Stock Farm six working horses, thirty shortborn cattle and twenty. nine Ayrshire cattle. In the past year six calves were sold at Char- lottetown for $205; five calves were sold at Georgetown for $82.50 and five calves were sold at Summerside for $174.80. Some fat cattle and some barley and oats were also sold, realizing $742.85. The balance against the Farm on the 15th of April last year was $7,892.70 and on the same date this year, $8,168.93.

It took Mr. Shaw two hours and a half to state the whole of the case—a case in which incompetence and imbecility is wonderfully mingled with blundering and rascality. We can‘apprehend?now, at least one of the reasons why Mr. Peters left for British Columbia, why Mr. Farquharson refused to accept office in the Warburton Administration, and why Mr, Sinclair is
