Job Fair ‘80

By Scott Pound Job seekers take notice! Prince Ed- ward Island’s first job fair will be held April 14 (1-5pm) and April 15 (9am-5pm) at the Charlotte- town Hotel. Come down and fill out applications, meet employers discuss job openings, and have in- terviews. the fair is sponsored by the tourism industry of PEI, and is designed to give prospec- tive employers and employees an opportunity to share information quickly and efficiently. There are so many jobs to be filled, most of which you are probably not aware of. The fair eliminates the need for job seekers to search news- papers, send applications, and schedule interviews. Individuals can discuss their interests and qualifications with several em- ployers in the same day, all under the same roof. If you don’t have a job lined up for this summer, you

UPEI Gradiiates on the March

Anne Marie McInnis gradu- ated from UPEI in 1987 as a Psy- chology major. She spent most of the next university year do- ing research in the Psychology de- partment with Professor Nilsson before leaving for several months touring Europe.

She entered the University of Saskatchewan at Saskatoon in the fall of 1988 on a $9,900 schol- arship. She is specializing in Applied Social Psychology and hopes to work with companies in the area of Industrial Psychology.

Anne Marie was home for Christmas and reported very fa- vorably on her program. She felt it will fit in very well with what she wants to do. She thinks there are many opportunities in Industrial Psychology. She also mentioned that her department seemed to have plenty of money and were eager to help students financially.

minded that, although some deadlines have already passed, there are still plenty of schol- arships and assistantships avail- able, and that Awards Officers and other professors are glad to assist them in preparing their ap- plications.
